Turning Twenty - Kid & Adult Beginner Friendly (evening class)

Turning Twenty is a fantastic quilt pattern for brand-new quilters ages 12 and up. Designed with beginners in mind, this class focuses on simple cutting, straight-line sewing, and easy piecing that comes together quickly. Large fabric pieces make it easier for kids and adults alike to see how blocks are built, helping students understand the basics of quilt construction without feeling overwhelmed.

In class, students will learn how to read a quilt pattern, safely use rotary cutting tools, sew accurate seams, and assemble blocks into a quilt top. The Turning Twenty pattern is very forgiving and customizable, making it a great choice for building skills while still ending with a quilt you will be proud to show off.

This class is perfect for kids sewing alongside a parent, teens learning to quilt, or adults just getting started. No prior quilting experience is required, just a willingness to learn and have fun creating something cozy and colorful.

This one-day class is designed to help you complete your quilt top. Many students finish their top during class, but everyone works at their own pace, so results may vary. This class focuses on the quilt top only and does not include quilting or binding.
